Joining and Splitting are great tools for manipulating routes to be exactly what you want them to be.
For edit options on an individual route, see this article.
Joining Routes:
Suppose you have two routes that come together but are still two separate routes. However, you want to view them as one continuous route, as you plan to hike the entire thing in one go:

- Tap on a route and bring the info card up, then tap Edit and select Join Route.

2. Select the second route you want to join.

There you go! Now you have a combined route.

Watch out for routes that have intersections, but aren’t continuous. Topo Maps+ will force the route to be one continuous line, so if there is a T intersection in the joined route, it will draw a line from the end of it to one of the ends of the route:
Splitting Routes:
On the other hand, maybe you have a really long route that you want to break up into smaller chunks. That’s where the Split tool comes in handy.

- Tap the route to pull up the info card, then tap Edit -> Split Route.

2. The crosshairs will start you at one end of the route, so you’ll need to drag them to the point you want to split. Confirming the split will create new routes out of the original route, so you’ll have 3 routes total – each half of the split as well as the original.
